As many of you might be aware we are a 501(c) non profit corporation, as such we can use this to help raise money for the trip to Hungary. Â In looking over the high school schedule there are quite a few tournaments that we can sell advertising to in order to help pay for the trip. Â We will be crafting a sponsor letter that allows for the business / individual to show support by purchasing ads. Â These ads will be given out, free of charge, at the following tournaments:
Western States – over 70 high school girl teams from throughout the valley
DeLong – over 40 high school boy teams from throughout the valley
CIF Section opening round playoffs – the top 32 teams from the sections
In order to follow the non-profit status, those planning on raising money will sell ads – and, as an example a full page add might be $300 – the person who sells the add will get to keep NINETY PERCENT of the cost towards their trip. Â That would be $270 towards their final amount. Â We will also list them on the club website as a sponsor on the donor page for one year. Â This doesn’t have to just be businesses, it could also be family members.
The packets for the fundraising will be available beginning the beginning of September at the scrimmages. Â Players interested in going to Europe can pick up the sponsor packets at that time. Â The first deadline of $1000 is December 1st, so this should give plenty of time to meet that particular goal.
Additionally, in the spring we will do the same thing for swimming, but the second installment is due in March, so the main events will not happen until later in the season. My advice would be to raise all that you can during the polo season.
