Western States High School Championships

Dates: Friday, October 12h and Saturday, October 13th 2012
Location: Johansen, Beyer, Downey,  Turlock, Modesto, Pitman and Turlock  and Oakdale

Beyer: Off highway 99, take exit at Beckwith/Standiford, travel on Standiford (east) for 3+ miles, school is located on  the left.
Ceres: Take highway 99 to Whitmore rd.  The school is located on left
Davis: Off highway 99, take exit at Beckwith/Standiford, travel on Standiford (east) till Tully rd. turn right on Tully rd. and the school is located one mile on left.
Downey: Off highway 99, take exit at Beckwith/Standiford, travel on Standiford (east) for around 4 miles, turn right on Coffee, school is located around 3 miles on your left.
Johansen: Off highway 99, take Briggsmore/Carpenter exit, travel on Briggsmore for 5+ miles until  Claus rd. Turn right on Claus.  School is located around 2  miles on the left.
Modesto: Off highway 99, take the Central Modesto exit, turn south on “H” street.  (this is a one-way street)  School is down road 1+mile on left.

Pitman: Take highway 99 to Turlock.  Take Taylor exit.  Turn Right on Golden State. Follow Golden State to Stop Sign at Christoffersen Parkway.  Turn left.  Go down Christoffersen Parkway to the stop sign at   Kilroy and turn left.  Take the 3rd driveway (near the football practice field/track) The pool is located along that side.

Tournament Shirts: Tournament shirts will be available at ONLY at the Johansen sites. They will be available at those sites on both Friday and Saturday while supplies last.   Shirts  sell for  $15-  checks can be made out to : Modesto/Stanislaus Water Polo, Inc.

Tournament Rules:
6  min. quarters / If a team is MORE than 6 goals ahead in any game,  the clock will be running time
One time out per game during preliminary rounds- ONE minute in duration as per rule book
In case of a tie, sudden death with a running clock, except for final championship game at each site (two 3-minute overtimes followed by sudden death)
First team listed, or on the top of the bracket on Saturday, will be dark caps

Awards:
Team trophies for 1st through 8th in the “A” Varsity Division
Team trophies for 1st through 3rd in the Frosh-Soph Division

First place team trophy for “B” Varsity Division

ALL coaches are encouraged to submit copies of team rosters
